Hestelo is a free household-move organizer provided by its founder, an individual, who is the data controller. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it. We do not sell your personal information. Contact: [email protected].
Information we collect
- Email address and display name you sign up with (directly or through Google or Apple Sign-In).
- Move information you enter: moves, rooms, boxes, box items, and large items.
- Your device push token, if you enable notifications.
- Waitlist email address, if you submit the form on this website.
- Product-analytics events (via PostHog) and website analytics (pages viewed, referrer, browser and device type, approximate location from IP). We do not use advertising trackers.
- Crash and error reports (via Sentry).
We do not collect photos, payment information, phone numbers, or SMS content.
How we use it
To provide Hestelo, send account and service email (confirmations, password resets, move invitations, and beta or launch updates), deliver push notifications you enable, understand how the app and website are used, and diagnose crashes.
Service providers
Supabase (database, authentication, and functions; United States), Google and Apple (sign-in), Resend (email), Expo (push notifications), PostHog (analytics), Sentry (crash reporting), and Cloudflare (website hosting). We do not use any payment processor or AI provider.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the providers above, with people you invite to a shared move, and when required by law.
Retention and deletion
We keep app data while your account is active; you can delete your account in the app, which permanently removes your profile and all of your moves, rooms, boxes, items, and memberships. Waitlist data is kept until launch communications end or you ask us to remove you. Email [email protected] and we will delete your data within 30 days.

You can access, correct, or delete your personal data in the app, or email [email protected].
Children's privacy
Hestelo is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy and will note material changes here, in the app, or by email.
